Summary of Position

The Port Intermodal Warehouse Manager oversees operations at our intermodal warehouse facility. This leadership role manages daily logistics, ensures safety compliance, and drives operational efficiency in a fast-paced industrial environment. The ideal candidate has over five years of warehouse or intermodal experience, strong team leadership, and proficiency in logistics software and warehouse equipment. This is a hands-on role requiring both strategic oversight and day-to-day operational involvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Key Responsibilities :
• Oversee all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, and shipping.
• Lead, train, and evaluate warehouse staff to ensure high performance and safety standards are maintained.
• Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and production teams to ensure timely material flow.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.
• Implement continuous improvement strategies to optimize warehouse layout and processes.
• Manage customer-owned cargo and ensure accurate inventory tracking and reporting.
• Coordinate import / export operations including stuffing and stripping at the CFS (Consolidated Freight Station).
• Work directly with container lines and drayage companies at the Port of Houston.
• Collaborate with union representatives, especially ILA, to ensure smooth labor operations.
• Plan and optimize warehouse space and resource allocation for multiple client operations.
