Company Payables Supervisor

General Description:

The Corp. AC Supervisor Company Payables oversees the work product and manages the performance of his/her team of accountants to ensure department quality standards are met and exceeded.

Responsibilities:

• Oversees work product for a team of employees to ensure quality standards and met and exceeded. Oversight of company payables for assigned divisions.
• Management responsibility for assigned team, including PTO requests, approving time cards, and regular meetings with employees. Responsible for identifying areas of performance management and coordinating with the AP manager for action.
• Manages team performance through monthly scorecard calculations and quarterly reviews.
• Conducts monthly team meetings to ensure department goals and met and exceeded.
• Trains new employees on company payables procedures and policies.
• Acts as an expert resource for team on company payables matters.
• Monthly reporting review/approval -- submit to AP Manager for final review (includes company reconciliations).
• Primary contact for field personnel for assigned regions -- responds to client needs within 24 hours.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Associates Degree required; BA/BS a plus
• 2-3 years of accounting experience required; 1-2 years at an assistant supervisory level required
• Thorough knowledge of all aspects of company payables policies and procedures.
• MS Office and Excel proficiency required.
• Strong knowledge of general accounting.
• Strong work ethic with a defined sense of urgency.
• Organized self-starter that works well in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and retention of pertinent information.
