• This position is only available to current students from Samuel Merrit University
• As an PA volunteer student, you will have the opportunity to work alongside and be supervised by a licensed medical provider who will provide you, the student, feedback regarding questions and to correct errors when applicable.
• Gain practicum experiences in an FQHC setting that are of critical importance to a successful learning experience in PA program.
• The practicum setting allows for the synthesis of concepts and the application of didactic learning.
• The PA student will work closely with a preceptor, learning from licensed provider advice and example.
• Through supervision, the PA student can progressively develop the skills and judgment necessary to become an PA.
