Lead Developer

Our client, a music organization, located in Nashville, TN; is in need of a (1 year) Contract Lead Developer. Their ideal candidate will be an expert-level developer who is ready to jump in and let their technical leadership make an impact! The pay for this role is around $65/hour (benefits included). This position is hybrid.

Location: Nashville, TN (Hybrid – 3 to 5 days/week in office)
Type: Contract (12 months)

Are you an experienced Lead Developer looking for your next long-term opportunity in Nashville? We’re partnering with a top-tier organization on a 12-month contract to add a hands-on, technically proficient Lead Developer to a fast-moving Agile team. This is a hybrid role with a rotating in-office schedule (Monday–Thursday) and remote work on Fridays. Candidates must already be located in the Nashville area for consideration.
About the Role:
You’ll join a core development team focused on enhancing and maintaining a large-scale enterprise application. In this role, you’ll work alongside engineers, business users, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions while mentoring junior team members and ensuring best practices.
What You’ll Be Doing:

• Designing and building cloud-native applications in AWS (Redshift & Aurora PostgreSQL)
• Leading back-end and front-end development using NestJS, Angular, and PHP
• Collaborating on GitLab-based workflows
• Optimizing data storage, retrieval, and cost efficiency
• Integrating diverse data sources (APIs, databases, streaming platforms) into enterprise data environments
• Required Skills & Experience:
• 5+ years of experience with AWS, specifically Redshift and Aurora PostgreSQL
• 5+ years with non-AWS tools including NestJS, Angular, and PHP
• 2+ years with GitLab (or similar tools such as GitHub, Bitbucket, etc.)
• Strong experience optimizing data storage for performance and cost
• Deep understanding of data integration strategies across varied sources
• Additional Details:
• Interviews include a technical screen and a team interview
• Onsite written technical evaluation required as part of the final round
• Must be comfortable working in a collaborative Agile environment
• Familiarity with development best practices and performance monitoring is a plus
• Use of AI tools during the evaluation process is not permitted
