Ensures accurate image identification and complete documentation, including patient charts, consents, orders, and screening forms.\n\nDetermines the appropriate body part to be imaged and positions patients correctly to obtain optimal images.\n\nFollows established departmental protocols and hospital policies for all procedures.\n\nMaintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment.\n\nPerforms routine equipment cleaning and operational checks to ensure proper function.\n\nOperates and adjusts department-specific imaging equipment to perform examinations.\n\nUses proper positioning, collimation, and patient shielding for radiologic exams.\n\nProcesses and transmits images to the PACS system, producing high-quality diagnostic images.\n\nApplies ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.\n\nUtilizes the Hospital Information System (HIS) to verify orders, obtain patient information, complete charges, and process studies.\n\nAdheres to safety standards and best practices to deliver high-quality imaging and patient care.
