Primary Care Assistant MA or LPN - Yukon

Find your calling at Mercy! Position Details : Mercy Clinic Primary Care - Yukon Full-Time; 40 hours / week, M-F 8am-5pm Accepting applications for MA, LPN, or EMT / Paramedic!

• This position is part our Resource Pool, meaning the person hired for this role will be based in the Yukon clinic and will spend the most time there, but will occasionally float to other nearby locations as needed.
• Overview : Prepares patient for visit with provider by completing Advanced Standard room process including entering the chief complaint; taking patient vital signs; reviewing patient history and allergies; completing a thorough medication reconciliation; working the Encounter Guide including helping to close any open care gaps such as fall risk, depression screening, breast cancer screening, colorectal cancer screening, and diabetic eye exams; rechecking elevated blood pressures; and completing needed documentation in Epic for yearly preventative visits as needed. Assists with any needed in-office testing including, but not limited to, drawing blood, completing mental status exams, EKG’s, walking oxygen studies and point of care testing. Administer vaccines and other injections within scope of practice. Schedules follow up appointments when needed per office policy. Collaborates with providers and clinical care team to monitor and coordinate delivery of the care plan. Medical Assistant Qualifications : Medical Assistant : Education : High School Diploma or GED. Certification : Must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire . Preferred Experience : 6 months of clinical healthcare experience, preferably in a primary care office. Certified Medical Assistant : Education : High School Diploma or GED. Certification : Must have active Medical Assistant certification / registration (RMA, CCMA, CMA) or EMT / Paramedic is also accepted. Must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire. LPN Qualifications : Education : Graduate of an accrediated Practical Nursing program. Licensure : Active LPN license in the state of practice. Experience : 6 months of clinical healthcare experience preferred, particularly in a primary care office. Why Mercy?
