ICU Nurse Job Responsibilities

• Provide Exceptional Patient Care: Deliver specialized nursing care to critically ill patients, ensuring their comfort and safety during their recovery.
• Monitor Patient Conditions: Observe, assess, and document patients' vital signs and responses to treatment, and provide immediate interventions as needed.
• Collaborate with the Care Team: Work closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Administer Medications and Treatments: Manage IV medications, blood products, and other complex treatments with precision and care.
• Support Families: Communicate effectively with patients' families, offering guidance and emotional support during challenging times.

Requirements

• Licensure & Certifications:
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in CA.
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; TNCC preferred.
• Skills & Experience:
  • Previous experience in an ICU, emergency room, or other critical care setting is preferred. New grads encouraged to apply.
  • Strong critical thinking and rapid decision-making abilities under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple critically ill patients in a high-stress environment.
