TITLE :

Technology Program Manager

FLSA STATUS : Exempt (Salary)

LOCATION : Remote.

HIRING RANGE :

$73,000.00 - $95,000.00, annually.

About UFW Foundation : For nearly 20 years, the UFW Foundation has mobilized farm workers and their organizations across the country to advocate for more equitable policies, such as immigration reform, pesticide protections, heat standards, hazard pay and other worker protections. We engage constituents in systemic change to break the cycle of poverty while also providing critical services. In fact, the UFW Foundation is the largest federally accredited immigration legal service provider in the state of California. The organization has staff in Arizona, California, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan, New York, and Washington state.

SUMMARY : The Technology Program Manager (TPM) oversees handling all aspects of technical projects for the UFW Foundation (UFWF). The TPM is responsible for initiating programs, following their progress, and serving as a support provider in case issues arise. The TPM will coordinate efforts among staff and outside vendors, as well as develop effective schedules and suggest action items that still need to be completed to complete the project successfully.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : (This is not an exhaustive list)

  • Act as project manager and UFWF liaison during implementation of Microsoft Dynamics CE, ensuring alignment with business requirements and leading practices.
  • Champion Agile delivery practices, including backlog management, and use of DevOps for assigned digital initiatives.
  • Collaborate with colleagues from other departments to document best practices to new strategies to reach the most farm workers, with a special project focus connected to digital initiatives.
  • Communicate project status and suggest changes to use UFWF technology resources more efficiently.
  • Coordinate internal protocols to move forward organizational goals, such as trainings on new features and developments to our digital platforms, creating an agenda to facilitate communication between UFWF staff and consultants working on digital initiatives.
  • Define strategies, regularly participate in executive meetings to present their progress, and share project information with other professionals in the organization.
  • Ensure quality assurance and change management processes are followed for technical deployments.
  • Identify potential risks and threats to current and future programs, collaborating with managers.
  • Identify technical impacts on the organization as they relate to business requirements.
  • Ensure ongoing communication with all UFWF departments working on digital initiatives, including coordination of planning meetings.
  • Propose solutions to technical constraints using their technical expertise and experience, as well as provide expertise for escalated quality problems and anticipate bottlenecks in the development cycle.
  • Track technical issues and implement solutions in a prompt manner.
  • Track and report developments on the digital initiative goals and deliverables.
  • Work closely with the Chief Operating Officer to manage relationships with communication related to vendors or consultants for the execution of project orders and vouchers for the digital initiative.
  • Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • May involve supervision of one or more staff members, as well as the coordination and supervision of volunteers / interns.
  • LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Will lead efforts as assigned by the Chief Operating Officer.

  • Problem solver with excellent leadership skills who can motivate co-workers to reach all team and / or organizational objectives.
  • Proficient in understanding business processes and translating them into Dynamics 365 CE configurations, workflows, and automations.
  • Strong Microsoft background with experience in Dynamics 365 CE which requires configuring and managing the platform.

  • This is a remote position. The incumbent will not be required to report regularly to any of our regional offices. However, the incumbent may be required to attend meetings in person on occasion throughout the year, either in their home state or elsewhere.

  • Language Skills : Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, government officials and their staff members, and the general public. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required. Bilingual ability in English and Spanish. Ability to speak Mixteco, Zapotec, Triqui and other languages indigenous to Mexico a plus.
  • Mathematical Skills : Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra. Must have basic accounting knowledge and the ability to keep accurate financial records. Must have good organizational skills and the ability to work independently. Must be familiar with the history and mission of the UFW Foundation and be willing to make a long-term commitment.
  • Reasoning Ability : Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS AND / OR QUALIFICATIONS :

  • 2+ years of experience with CRM tools.
  • EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE :

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in business, information technology, management, or a related field, and three years or more of related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a similar technical position.
  • CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS :

  • Requires a valid Class “C” Driver’s license.
  • Additional leadership or management certifications are a plus.
  • COMPENSATION :

    The annual salary pay range for this position is $73,000.00 to $95,000.00, and benefits include :
