[job_card.job_description]New Grad Surg Tech I =1 year Surg Tech II = 2-4 years Surg Tech III = 5+ years Enhance unit goals and facilitate operations by being a resource specialist for assigned operating room areas / specialty services. Exhibit knowledge of aseptic techniques and advanced surgical practices for all clients in both elective and emergency situations. Verify the availability and functionality of supplies, instruments, and equipment prior to surgical procedures, ensuring adherence to surgeon preference cards. Deliver safe care by adhering to established policies, procedures, and standards, while managing time and supplies effectively. Foster professional development through continuing education and skills competency; mentor and support less experienced staff. Demonstrate a commitment to compassionate care and personalized experiences for all community members, reflecting Memorial Hermann's service standards. Complete other duties as assigned.

Job Summary
- Neuro / General OR
- PRN (as needed); Varied Days
- CST and BLS (American Heart Assoc) required
- Preferred : 1+ year of General OR experience and 2+ years of Neuro experience, including Neuro Craniotomy-Tumor and Neuro Spine
- Location : Memorial Hermann Memorial City.
This role is crucial for delivering expert perioperative care to patients through the effective use of equipment and instrumentation. As a scrub assistant to the physician, you will participate in operative and invasive procedures under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, while also using your expertise to serve as a role model for other staff.
You will need to demonstrate the ability to provide patient care that meets the specific needs of diverse patient populations across various life stages.
Minimum Qualifications
Education : Graduate of a Surgical Technologist Program
Licenses / Certifications : Certified in Basic Life Support; Current Certification as a Surgical Technologist by the National Board of Surgical Technology & Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
