About the Position

LocumJobsOnline is working with Lancesoft Inc to find a qualified Neurosurgery MD in Iowa!

We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Neurosurgeon to provide locum coverage for three upcoming 7-day blocks of 24-hour call coverage.

Open Dates :

November 24 (6 AM) – December 1 (6 AM)

December 22 (6 AM) – December 29 (6 AM)

December 29 (6 AM) – January 5 (6 AM)

Opportunity Highlights :

24-hour call shifts (approx. 7-8 consecutive days / nights per block)

Average 1 surgical case per day

Level II Trauma Center

Adult-only patient population

Epic EMR

Dedicated neuro-ortho OR team

APP support for all cases

Required Procedures :

Cranial procedures (burr holes, hemorrhage management, trauma repair, tumor removal, shunt insertion / revision, etc.)

Spine surgery (discectomy, laminectomy, spinal fusion, stabilization, etc.)

Neurocritical procedures (ICP monitoring, CSF sampling, lumbar drains, EVD management, etc.)

Requirements :

Must be able to cover all three date blocks

Active IA license or IMLC / LOQ

Board Certified or Board Eligible (ABNS)

BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS, NALS (or equivalents)

Experience with adult trauma neurosurgery cases

Comfortable with spinal, lumbar & thoracic instrumentation

Credentialing : Estimated at 90 days.
