Driftwood Café is hiring Full and Part-Time Baristas!

Located at the edge of the new St. Pete Pier and proudly part of the Teak and Birchwood family, we are passionately committed to the highest quality of hospitality in Saint Petersburg. We are seeking professionals who share our enthusiasm for this commitment to join us in at the St. Pete Pier. Our Café facility features state of the art espresso and coffee equipment, wine and beer, shaved ice and house made gelato, as well as a small menu for guests to enjoy in the park viewing the St. Pete Skyline.

We offer competitive pay as well as further compensation in tips.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Serve and prepare quality espresso, tea, and coffee beverages and food to guests
• Recommend the coffeehouse’s products to undecided guests and continue to learn and become more knowledgeable about our products and the coffee industry
• Maintain a clean surface area to guests at all times
• Cash handling accuracy

Skills and Qualifications

• Knowledge on operating espresso machine and commercial coffee brewer
• Prior experience in coffeeshops, café preferred
• Have excellent communication and customer service skills
• Must be able to lift to 40lbs. and work on your feet for extended periods of time
• Able to work flexible hours (i.e. – nights, weekends, holidays)
• Sense of Urgency is a must!
