This position is responsible for processing and evaluating welded and machined components using the Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection method to MB Aerospace East Granby procedures along with customer specifications.

This position sits in Warren, MI and will report to the Quality Manager.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Review and implement customer requirements; such as : Engineering Drawings, Process Specifications and other industry standards. Develop and maintain processes, test methodology and procedures. Understand manufacturing methods and part construction, as it relates to the NDT data.
• Operate X-ray equipment and interpret film
• Oversee and process OE & repair / overhaul hardware through FPI line and interpret results
• Perform process control checks and NDT related calibrations as necessary
• Identify and investigate new technologies, processes and / or procedures to maintain or improve NDT capabilities, efficiencies, etc.
• Interface with engineers, internal customers, manufacturing personnel and management to improve processes. Provide guidance, leadership and instruction to other NDT technicians.
• Integrate improvements to realize benefits in cost, cycle, and customer satisfaction.
• Perform other assignments and tasks as directed.
• Ensure adherence to applicable MB Aerospace internal, federal, state and local laws and regulations related to compliance and takes responsibility to ensure ongoing conformity with such rules and regulations

1-4 years NDT Experience
