California State University San Marcos (CSUSM) invites applications for a tenure-track position at the level of Assistant Professor in Computer Engineering. Candidates must be committed to contributing to an undergraduate-centered, pedagogically innovative, and modern Computer Engineering degree program. Applications from contemporary areas of research are welcome, including robotics, cyber-physical systems, embedded systems and edge computing, computer architecture and high-performance computing, quantum computing, VLSI design, hardware–software co-design, cloud and distributed systems, hardware security, machine learning hardware, and bio-inspired computing. Electrical and Computer Engineering is among the fastest growing departments at CSUSM, with state-of-the-art modern laboratories, ABET accreditation, and close relations with local industry. CSUSM values teaching undergraduates and involving them in research. The University recently broke ground on a new 75,000sf Integrated Science and Engineering building. It includes modern Engineering laboratories and is expected to open in 2027. Minimum Qualifications

• Possess a . in Computer Engineering and have received a in Computer or Electrical Engineering or a closely related field by the time of .
• Applicants with ABD status will be considered, but the applicant must possess a doctoral degree by the starting date.
• Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to teaching excellence, a record of published research commensurate with years of experience, and the ability to develop and sustain a research program that will lead to original, peer-reviewed publications.
• Candidates must be able to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with departmental colleagues.
• Candidates must be able to communicate effectively and work cooperatively in a campus community that serves students with a wide range of backgrounds and learning styles, reflecting our San Diego North County region.

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range : $9,583 - $10,420 per month

CSU Classification Salary Range : $6,221- $13,224 per month
