We have a fantastic opportunity for an Administrative Nurse Manager, Operating Room to join our staff. Position Summary : The Administrative Nurse Manager, Operating Room, actualizes the vision, mission, values, balanced scorecard and performance measures for Montefiore Mount Vernon. The Administrative Nurse Manager, Operating Room participates in performance improvement / research activities; maintains professional practice standards and clinical expertise; demonstrates leadership skills; and demonstrates core and unit specific competencies based on the patient population served. The manager has a 24-hour responsibility for the supervision, scheduling, hiring, firing and performance appraisal of nursing and ancillary associates within one or more Surgical specialties in the Operating Room. Coordinate other activities including but not limited to inventory management, budgeting and performance improvement activities to promote efficient / effective operations and quality patientcare. Demonstrates leadership and clinical expertise in areas (s) of responsibility. Responsible for developing and maintaining competence of assigned associates. Education and Requirements : Master’s degree from an accredited program required or must be registered in a master’s program with projected graduation date in three years of position acceptance Valid NYS Nursing License Minimum of 5 years clinical experience along with progressive management experience BLS / ACLS / Infection Control Certifications C.N.O.R Certification Membership in A.O.R.N Employment Type : Full Time Years Experience : 3 - 5 years Salary : $135,000 - $150,000 Annual Bonus / Commission : No
