We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented gym custodian to join our team. As a member of our custodial team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our facilities remain clean, safe, and welcoming for employees, clients, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include cleaning and maintaining various areas of the building, performing minor cosmetic repairs, and ensuring that supplies are adequately stocked. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of the team. The ideal candidate will have experience in custodial work. You will be expected to follow all safety protocols and maintain a high standard of cleanliness at all times. Responsibilities:

• Clean the interior of buildings including floors, carpet, rugs, windows and walls
• Disinfect commonly used items like desks, door handles, office tools and phones
• Vacuum, sweep and mop floors
• Wash and clean windows and mirrors
• Operate floor scrubbers and other equipment
• Stock and maintain supply rooms
• Empty trash and recycling bins and ensure proper disposal
• Perform minor maintenance tasks such as but not limited to changing light bulbs, replacing/tightening broken handles and holders.
• Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap and toilet paper
• Monitor and report any safety hazards or maintenance issues
• Notify supervisors of unsafe conditions
• Follow established cleaning schedules and protocols

Requirements:

• Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work is preferred.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums and floor buffers.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift up to 50 pounds
• Basic Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety protocols
• Good communication skills
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays when needed
• High school diploma or equivalent is a plus.

Compensation: $15.00 per hour
