Deputy General Counsel

A company is looking for a Deputy General Counsel to lead its legal department and prepare for the General Counsel position.

Key Responsibilities

Set the strategy for the Legal Department and manage day-to-day operations

Advise on legal strategy in partnership with the General Counsel and CEO

Oversee significant legal matters and support the team on other legal work

Required Qualifications

12+ years of relevant legal experience, including a minimum of 10 years in-house experience

Experience with class action litigation and consumer protection issues

Strong experience providing counsel to e-commerce companies

Familiarity with U.S. and international privacy laws and regulations is a plus

Proven ability to work efficiently with cross-functional teams on complex projects
