Role Overview
As a Biomedical Field Service Technologist , you’ll work remotely and directly with customers—most often inside hospital settings—to diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of medical devices from STERIS and other manufacturers. You’ll operate independently day to day, backed by a responsive team when you need support. This role supports customers across an assigned territory, and candidates must reside in Oregon.
A Day in the Life
- Triage service requests, set your own schedule, and travel to hospital sites across your territory.
- Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot issues, complete repairs, and execute field upgrades and equipment installations.
- Document work thoroughly using digital tools to meet regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with Technical Support, Engineering, and Service Contract Management to escalate complex issues and resolve them efficiently.
- Present customers with repair options and pricing; partner with Sales (with leadership support) to elevate customer experience and identify revenue opportunities.
- Provide coverage to multiple locations within the territory based on service agreements and customer priorities.

High school diploma or GED and 4+ years of professional experience, including at least 2 years in a mechanical / technical capacity. An associate degree, relevant technical certifications, competitive equipment training, or related military experience may count toward this technical requirement.A valid driver’s license and the ability to meet vendor credentialing requirements, including all required background and physical assessment elements.Customer-facing experience and the ability to collaborate effectively with teammates.Clear written and spoken communication skills.Comfort with basic computer tasks (Windows, email, navigation, mobile apps, and data entry across multiple systems).Schedule flexibility, including occasional overnights and early or late hours based on customer needs.What We Offer
