General Manager - St. Louis, MO

NEXT Door & Window is looking for a General Manager to manage the sales and installations at our new St. Louis, MO branch.  This is a unique opportunity for the right person to bring the NEXT brand to St. Louis and build a sizeable business. NEXT Door and Window is a family-owned and operated business fueled by a commitment to success for our customers and our team members for 23 years.

NEXT has a unique collaboration with Infinity by Marvin and Costco as the exclusive window and door replacement dealer for homeowners in the St. Louis market. You will take our 23-year reputation and proven Costco / Marvin partnership to create a leader in the St. Louis market with a differentiated product and service experience. This is an opportunity with massive career growth potential, including future expansion markets.

Purpose : Start up and build the team with a major focus on sales inside and outside of Costco. Guide the installation operations of our replacement window and door program to ensure customers are delighted. Success will be dependent on your ability to build a team, provide leadership, coach for success, and foster teamwork and problem solving in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities :

  • Establish a local market for NEXT Door and Window and Window product / service offerings using our programs and guidance in location start-up and on-going business operations.
  • Build and manage a Field Marketing Team to launch the Costco replacement window program in 5 Costco locations in the market
  • A major focus will be building and managing a sales team to service the Costco program as well as our own robust marketing plan.
  • Overall strategic planning and execution of sales and installation functions to assure the company's continued growth and profitability with specific emphasis on sales growth, process improvement, customer satisfaction, and quality and people development
  • Build an installation and service team to execute our proven installation processes
  • Understand and implement NEXT Door and Window policies, processes, best practices, and guidelines
  • Conduct local market research to gain understanding of customer trends and competitor offering in the specific branch location to help market to our target customer
  • Maintain a dedicated budget for lead generation and new sales to build a customer base that supports future growth and brand recognition
  • Develop and maintain an adequate understanding of NEXT Door and Window products, systems and sales processes to direct others, identify and maximize opportunities to meet customer needs and grow the business through daily interactions with direct reports and / or customers
  • Track and measure performance standards designated by NEXT Door and Window that commitments to customers are met and achieve a high customer satisfaction rating
  • Manage and achieve financial performance and metrics of the entire St. Louis market.

Qualifications

  • College degree preferred or equivalent in a business discipline
  • 10 years or more of business management experience
  • Prior sales and / or sales management experience preferred Home Services industry experience preferred
  • Demonstrated skills in managing a P and L
  • Understanding of in-home sales environment and homeowner requirements
  • Analytical and decision-making skills
  • Leadership skills in developing others
  • Strategic thinking in setting challenging plans / goals / objectives
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Interpersonal skills in building effective relationships
  • Must be pro-active and have a good attitude
  • Ability to understand the role of marketing communications, sales promotion and advertising
  • Must be able to resolve conflict in the best interests of the business and our customers
  • Demonstrate analytic skills
