Senior LabVIEW Software Engineer

Job Description :

L3Harris Integrated Vision Solutions Londonderry, a leading designer and manufacturer of laser, night vision and electro-optic devices is seeking a Senior LabVIEW Software Engineer - Level 4 to pursue a career in a fast paced company where new designs become production reality. As a member of our team, you will become a recognized contributor with responsibility for the development of modern military electronic hardware test equipment. A variety of technical qualifications will be required to bring designs from concept to production.

As a Senior LabVIEW Software Engineer you will be responsible for the design, development and execution of software for the equipment test stations used to manufacture and test the L3Harris Integrated Vision Solutions products.

Essential Functions :

Responsibilities include conceptual design, programming, validating and debugging, documenting, and releasing of test equipment software, as well as hands-on involvement in testing and validating the station performance with emphasis in the following areas :

• Collaborating with other engineering disciplines to develop concept for station design
• Design the station software to meet the requirements including schedule and cost
• Develop the code using LabVIEW software
• Software project estimation and planning
• Test and verify the code for proper operation
• Troubleshoot / modify current station code for improvements
• Document / comment code for future use
• Release code to formal documentation control
• Routine repository backup of all code
• Deep understanding of user requirements in a production environment
• Interface with power supplies, cameras, oscilloscopes, energy meters, and positioning equipment
• Intermediate to advance level knowledge of task / project scoping and execution to schedules
