We are seeking a Menu Coordinator to join our team!

Hospital Details

San Joaquin Valley Rehabilitation Hospital, located in Fresno, CA, is a 62 bed acute rehab hospital, providing rehabilitative services to people recovering from disabilities caused by injuries or illnesses. We help our patients regain their physical or cognitive abilities so they can return home at their highest level of independence. As a smaller, specialized hospital, we offer an opportunity to work in a fast-paced and friendly work environment where you really get to know your patients and their families.

Responsibilities

Responsible for preparing patient choice menu tray tickets for patient trays, as well as maintaining the diet list, the snack list and online menu program. Responsible for picking up patient choice menus and assisting patients where needed. Assists on tray line and other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Two (2) years of experience in a healthcare dietary setting in lieu of education will be considered.
• Food handling certification as required by State regulations.
• Minimum two (2) years of healthcare dietary work experience required.

Additional Qualifications/Skills:

• Basic understanding of food preparation and diet knowledge preferred.
• Ability to project a professional image.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
• Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
