Primary Purpose

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a licensed professional responsible for coordinating patient care with the healthcare team using the Parkland nursing professional practice model. Through the nursing process, RNs assess patients, formulate nursing diagnoses, develop personalized care plans, and evaluate patient responses. RNs play a crucial role in ensuring that patients transition through their healthcare experiences smoothly and without complications.

Minimum Specifications

Education : Graduate from an accredited nursing school.

Experience : Two years of nursing experience required, preferably in an acute care setting.

Certification / Registration / Licensure

• Current RN license or valid temporary permit with the Texas Board of Nursing or valid Compact RN license
• Current healthcare provider BLS certification from one of the following organizations :
• American Heart Association
• American Red Cross
• Military Training Network
