Senior / Staff Backend Engineer

About the Role

We're Roger Healthcare ( www.rogerhealthcare.com ), building AI-powered clinical documentation for home-based healthcare. We give overworked clinicians their evenings and weekends back and raise the standard of elder care.

We’re off to industry-leading growth, are backed by world-class investors, constantly shipping new products, and are looking for a talented Senior / Staff Backend Engineer to lead development of backend services and infrastructure.

What You'll Do

Ship complex, 0-1 products and features using FastAPI and MongoDB / Postgres

Build APIs and services that interface with LLMs and other AI models

Leverage AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate development

Be adept at shipping quick MVPs AND building scalable, robust systems

Working knowledge of Docker and AWS cloud infra preferred

Own backend-side technical architecture and drive code quality improvements

Be primarily an IC day-to-day rather than a manager

Collaborate with other senior engineers and mentor junior engineers
