About the Position

LocumJobsOnline is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified Optometry MD in Oklahoma!

We are seeking an experienced Optometrist for a 50-day locum tenens assignment with our client in Oklahoma. This opportunity begins on Jan 5, 2026, and offers a consistent schedule of day shifts every Monday and Tuesday from 8 : 00 a.m. to 4 : 30 p.m. Candidates with IHS experience are encouraged to apply, and a minimum of two years of recent clinical experience is preferred.

Schedule : Monday and Tuesday each week, 8 : 00 a.m. to 4 : 30 p.m.

Responsibilities and Duties

Provide comprehensive optometric care to patients

Conduct eye examinations and vision tests

Diagnose and manage ocular diseases and conditions

Prescribe corrective lenses and medications as appropriate

Document clinical findings and treatment plans accurately

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams as needed

Adhere to all clinical protocols and compliance standards

Additional Information

Required board certification : Optometry

Required certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)

IHS experience is a plus

Minimum of two years recent clinical experience preferred

Active license to practice optometry required
