Job Overview

The Senior Data Engineer position works closely with business leaders, managers, staff and vendor to accurately gather and interpret requirements. Develop technical specifications and recommend, design, develop, test, implement, and support innovative and optimal data solutions. Serves as a coach and mentor to the data engineering team.

Minimum Requirements

1. High School diploma required. Associates degree or Bachelor’s degree in a health related field preferred.

2. Minimum 7 years of experience in a data warehouse\data engineering role for a mid to large size organization required. Health Care industry experience highly desired.

3. Minimum of 4 years of hands on experience with ETL\Data Integration, BI, data mining (preferred) and modeling preferred.

4. Proficient in 3rd normal form (TNF) DW Architecture, data flow best practices, data modeling, metadata, and master data management.

5. Expertise in SQL and RDBMS systems such as Microsoft SQL Server.

6. Stay up-to-date with established and industry emerging data technologies.

7. Demonstrated ability to produce high quality technical documentation.

8. Experience in implementing a data architecture with separation between storage and compute preferred.

9. Deep understanding of data architecture and ability to coordinate with the enterprise data architect is highly desired

10. Experience with data quality and ETL platform, such as Talent is preferred.

11. Experience using Azure DevOps for source control and CICD.

12. Experience working in both waterfall and agile project managed teams.

13. Experience using Talent as an ETL tool is a big plus.

14. Familiarity of Data Virtualization concept/architecture is highly desired.

15. Hand on technical experience with MS SQL 2019 Big Data Cluster or other Big Data technologies is preferred.
