Job Description :

Parsons is seeking a Junior Bridge Engineer to join our team in Centreville, VA, Baltimore, MD, or Washington, DC. This is an excellent opportunity to support impactful structural projects across the DC / MD / VA region and nationwide. We are looking for motivated individuals with a desire to work on both conventional and design-build bridge programs. Location : Centreville, VA; Baltimore, MD; Washington, DC (Hybrid Work Model)

In this role, you will work on a variety of bridge projects, including concrete and steel bridges, deck and superstructure rehabilitations, and other innovative designs. You will gain hands-on experience and develop the technical expertise needed to deliver high-quality bridge designs. Parsons is recognized for its technical depth, client-focused approach, and successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities :

Assist in planning and designing bridge structures to ensure structural reliability, resource efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

Conduct and support In-Service Bridge Inspectors in the inspection, documentation, and quantification of deficient bridge elements.

Perform conventional and moderately complex bridge engineering tasks with accuracy and efficiency.

Develop engineering computations, material quantity take-offs, cost estimates, surveys, and designs.

Develop CAD drawings and Collaborate with CAD Designers / Drafters, Designers, and Engineers to support project delivery.

Contribute to quality and continuous improvement through innovative thinking and creative problem-solving.

Build and maintain cooperative and productive relationships with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is required.

Typically 1+ years of related work experience in bridge or structural engineering.

Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or other relevant certifications may be required.

Skills and Competencies :

Proficiency in CAD and other engineering software tools is essential.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Salary Range : $26.25 - $45.96
