Cardiovascular / Electrophysiology Tech Per Diem

Description

POSITION SUMMARY : Performs diagnostic and interventional procedures as requested by physicians.  Provides care for patients while obtaining diagnostic quality images for interpretation by an Electrophysiologist / Cardiologist.

Requirements

EDUCATION : High school diploma or equivalent.  Associates degree in Science or comparable work experience.

CERTIFICATION / LICENSES . BLS certification required.  ACLS required. RCIS, RCES or CVIS Certification required.

SKILLS :

• Thorough knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology, medical terminology and basic computer skills
• Thorough knowledge of interventional procedures in Cardiology
• Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English

EXPERIENCE : One year Cath lab / EP experience preferred.
