Responsibilities

• Process customer orders daily to meet expectations.
• Work in various process paths including receiving, picking, packing, or shipping.
• Package and label shipments according to standard operating procedures.
• Complete documentation requirements for hazardous materials.
• Ensure inventory is stored properly.
• Operate swing reach trucks, stand-up forklifts, and order pickers (training provided).
• Accurately sort cartons onto pallets and prepare products for shipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
• Follow all company safety and compliance guidelines.

Essential Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of general warehouse experience.
• Experience with powered industrial trucks (order pickers).
• Ability to stand and move about the warehouse for long periods.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience handling hazardous materials (chemicals) is a plus.
• Experience with computers and scanning equipment is a plus.
• Experience with order picking and receiving operations.
• Prior experience operating swing reach trucks and stand-up forklifts.
• Comfortable working at heights up to 20 feet.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Must be able to read and write in English.

Work Environment

You will be working in a large distribution company, operating specialized warehouse equipment in a fast-paced environment. The role is part of the 1st shift packing team, emphasizing accuracy and safety in operations. Expect to be on your feet, walking, stooping, bending, and reaching for long periods.

This is a Contract position based out of Agawam, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.25 - $20.25/hr.
