Cook – Winslow House Care Center (Marion, Iowa)

Schedule :

2–3 evenings per week

Every other weekend

Must be 18+

We’re seeking a compassionate and dependable Cook who enjoys preparing high-quality meals and creating a welcoming dining experience for older adults. This role is central to resident satisfaction and daily quality of life.

Prepare and serve well-balanced, appealing meals based on planned menus

Follow dietary restrictions and individualized nutrition needs

Maintain high standards of sanitation and food safety

Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and running smoothly

Assist with menu planning and special event meals

Collaborate with a supportive culinary team

Interact with residents and help make mealtimes enjoyable

Manage inventory and minimize waste

Prior cooking experience (senior living or healthcare preferred but not required)

Understanding of food safety and sanitation

Good communication and teamwork skills

Organized, dependable, and able to multitask

A kindhearted personality and a desire to serve older adults
