Data Center Technician I

As a Data Center Technician, you will serve as a primary resolver for your support team, specializing in troubleshooting and resolving complex hardware infrastructure issues. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining documentation for supported technologies and mentoring junior staff. The role requires basic to intermediate system administration skills, with the ability to perform remote tasks in a virtual team environment. You will also automate tasks using scripting when necessary, execute small projects independently, and collaborate with management on larger initiatives. You will act as the initial escalation point for junior technicians and demonstrate a deep understanding of the equipment you support.

• Specified productivity speed / number of tasks / amount of material :
• Independently resolve the majority of support issues without supervision
• Complete assigned small-scale projects within defined timelines
• Provide timely and effective escalation support for junior technicians
• Maintain up-to-date documentation for all supported technologies
• Time frame for completion :
• Daily resolution of assigned support tickets and hardware issues
• Weekly updates to documentation and knowledge base
• Monthly completion of assigned small projects
• Ongoing mentorship and support for junior staff

This is a Contract position based out of Hayward, CA.

• Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $33.00 / hr.
