A company is looking for a Nuclear Fuel Performance and Development Engineer.
Key Responsibilities
Perform thermo-mechanical analysis of fuel rods and core components to support design and testing activities
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure fuel and absorber designs meet objectives
Develop fuel and material models, compose technical documents, and execute sensitivity studies
Required Qualifications and Education
Bachelor's degree in Nuclear, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering
A minimum of 6 years of experience in fuel performance modeling or thermo-mechanical analysis
Strong skills in finite element methods, heat transfer, and solid mechanics
Experience with numerical methods and computational algorithms, including FEA codes
Proficiency in programming languages such as PYTHON and FORTRAN
