About Bedrock
Our mission is to accelerate the exploration of Earth's final frontierthe oceanby pioneering autonomous technologies and unlocking transparent, actionable intelligence.
We believe that understanding the ocean is essential to thriving on this planet and beyond. The ocean is not just a vast body of waterit is the foundation of our climate, our resources, our communications, and our energy. As critical infrastructure increasingly moves beneath the waves, our ability to explore, map, and safeguard the ocean's bedrock becomes vital.
We're not just connecting the world by seawe're revealing the deep, unseen structure that connects all life. To secure our future, we must first understand the ground beneath us, the foundation of our civilization.
The Role
As an Electronics Assembly Technician, you will own the build and validation of the electronic heart of our autonomous underwater vehicles and subsea systems. This role is more than basic PCB reworkyou will assemble, power, test, debug, and validate complete electronic subsystems, helping transition designs from prototype to scalable production.
You will take ownership of electronics-heavy assembly work so senior engineers can focus on design, while you ensure boards, harnesses, power systems, and integrated electronics are built, tested, and production-ready. This is a hands-on role for someone who loves building real hardware, using lab tools daily, and bridging the gap between electrical design and manufacturing.
What You'll Do
Electronics-Focused Assembly
- Assemble and integrate PCBAs, electronic modules, and full electronic subsystems
- Perform advanced soldering, PCBA population, rework, and modification beyond basic repair
- Build and integrate power systems, batteries, regulators, and distribution boards
- Fabricate and integrate wiring harnesses and electronic assemblies into vehicles
- Support the assembly and test of electromechanical assemblies as a system, not confined to electronics only.
Testing & Debugging
Power up, bring up, and validate new electronic assemblies across hardware and software tool interfacesUse oscilloscopes, multimeters, electronic loads, logic analyzers, and power supplies to debug issuesSupport RF, sensor, and communication system bring-up and validation as neededTroubleshoot electronics at board, subsystem, and system levelPrototype & Production Support
Build first articles and prototypes directly from early electrical designsSupport transition from prototype to production by refining build methodsCreate and improve electronics assembly, test, and bring-up proceduresProcess & Documentation
Support the creation of test fixtures for PCBAs and other subassembliesDevelop clear work instructions for electronics assembly and testMaintain traceability for electronic builds and test resultsProvide feedback to engineers on design-for-assembly and design-for-testCollaboration
Work closely with electrical, mechanical, integration team, and field operatorsServe as the primary hands-on electronics builder so designers can focus on architecture and designSupport integration, test, and field teams when electronics issues ariseAbout You

We are seeking mission oriented, purpose driven teammates who are willing to push boundaries to learn and execute when things seem impossible. The ocean is the ultimate level playing field, anyone can go, but not many can build successful systems that can survive and thrive in earth's last frontier. We get to illuminate the darkness, explore the unknown, and be first to see what we can discover. We can see everything on earth, except in the depths of the sea.
