Job Description
Create and refine CMM inspection programs (using PCDIMS and MCOSMOS) for precision machined componentsAnalyze engineering drawings, CAD models, and specifications to plan inspection approachesSelect and set up appropriate fixturing, tooling, and configurations to enable consistent, accurate measurementsInterpret engineering standards, drawings, and customer specifications to guide inspection requirementsOversee and validate inspections and tests to ensure product adherence to design and specificationConduct measurement system analysis (MSA) and gage R&R studies to verify measurement reliabilityProduce and maintain quality documentation such as control plans, inspection plans, FAIs, and PPAPs to satisfy customer demandsConfirm that process control documents and project deliverables meet contractual and quality obligationsCollaborate with engineers, machinists, and quality teams to integrate inspection processesUphold a clean, structured, and safetycompliant work environment in line with company guidelinesMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant
Prior experience as a Quality Engineer or in a comparable roleBachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline preferredMinimum of 3 years' experience programming CMMsIndepth knowledge of GD&T, blueprint interpretation, and inspection techniquesFamiliarity with ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality standardsDemonstrated track record in quality inspection and assurance within manufacturingProficient in statistical analysis tools (e.g. Minitab, SPC) for interpreting measurement dataComfortable working effectively in a highpressure, fastpaced environmentCollaborative team player with a constructive mindset and commitment to excellenceSelf-motivated, able to initiate and drive projects independentlyMust be a U.S. citizenWhat's on Offer
