Position Description
Job Summary :
The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems, components, and equipment. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions.
Job Responsibilities :
Design and develop mechanical systems, components, and products using CAD software and engineering toolsPerform calculations, simulations, and analyses to validate designs and ensure compliance with safety, reliability, and performance standardsProduce technical drawings, specifications, repair procedures, and documentation for manufacturing and assemblyCollaborate with manufacturing, quality, and project teams to support production, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiativesConduct prototype testing, collect data, and evaluate product performanceResearch new materials, methods, and technologies to enhance product performance and efficiencyEnsure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with company and industry standardsPosition Requirements
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master's degree preferred for select roles)Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus, but not requiredProficiency in CAD software such as CREO, AutoCAD, or equivalentStrong understanding of mechanical systems, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and materials scienceExcellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skillsEffective communication and teamwork abilitiesHands-on mechanical aptitude; familiar with manual and power hand toolsSkilled in data collection using micrometers, calipers, and measuring tapeComfortable working at heights and physically capable of operating scissors lifts and boom liftsWillingness to travel throughout the Midwest regionEqual Opportunity Employer
