Medical Assistant

Performs variety of patient care, technical, and administrative duties to assist practitioners and other members of health care team in providing high quality patient care through health care system. The Medical Assistant participates as a team member in the overall functioning of the clinic. The Medical Assistant is responsible for the flow of the patients for assigned providers (as applicable) each day. They perform duties and procedures as described in the Primary Responsibilities section.

This position will be 1.0FTE / full-time, Monday-Friday. Shift start time could vary depending on clinic needs, between 7 : 30am and 9am. This position will be located at the Overlake Clinic in Bellevue, WA.

Responsibilities

• All Essential Functions of the MA I position
• Leave paperwork / Prior Authorizations / Prescriptions refills
• Answering / screening incoming phone calls
• Coordinating outside labs results and notify pt. of norm labs results
• Acts as preceptor / trainer
• Reinforce compliance in billing / coding
• Facilitates distribution of clinical contacts, schedules and care management tools
• Monitor and assist with clinic flow
• Request medical record from external / internal facilities and prepare for provider review
• Collaborate with clinic nursing supervisor to develop operational strategies and process improvements for department / unit
• Assist in resolving and / or responding to non-clinical related patient complaints and inquiries

Qualifications

Required :

The hourly pay range for this position is from $31.26 to $44.51 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications. This position will be 1.0FTE / full-time, Monday-Friday. Shift start time could vary depending on clinic needs, between 7 : 30am and 9am. This position will be located at the Overlake Clinic in Bellevue, WA. This position is not eligible for H-1B sponsorship at this time.
