About The Opportunity
Looking to apply your labor and employment law expertise in a mission‑driven legal environment that values both excellence and work‑life balance?
This is a rare opportunity to join a respected California‑based law firm with a deep legacy of serving public entities and select private clients for nearly a century. Known for its collaborative culture, low turnover, and modern remote flexibility, this firm empowers attorneys to make a real impact in local communities— all while advancing their own careers.
We’re currently seeking a Labor & Employment Attorney with 3 to 8 years of experience to join our growing team in the Bay Area. Unlike traditional BigLaw environments, this role offers a sustainable 1,850‑hour billable target, meaningful work with public clients, and a clear pathway to partnership based on performance—not just rainmaking. You’ll receive real mentorship, work on diverse matters, and enjoy the flexibility to thrive both personally and professionally.
What You’ll Do
- Advise public agency and private clients on labor and employment law matters
- Draft and review employment policies, contracts, and compliance documentation
- Provide counsel on issues related to wage & hour laws, discrimination, workplace investigations, and discipline / termination
- Support or lead negotiations in traditional labor law matters, including collective bargaining
- Collaborate with a seasoned team of attorneys who specialize in public law and employment litigation
- Maintain high‑quality written work, analysis, and client communications
