Job Title : Python Data Engineer

Contract Duration : 12 Months

Location : Phoenix, AZ

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement scalable, reliable, and secure data solutions to support large-scale data storage, processing, and analytics.

Build, maintain, and optimize ETL / ELT data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and loading data from multiple batch and real-time sources.

Develop efficient data models and schemas that ensure high performance, scalability, and maintainability.

Optimize data workflows to improve efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

Design and maintain robust data processing pipelines , including testing, deployment, monitoring, and ongoing support.

Build scalable data infrastructure with a strong emphasis on quality, security, privacy, and governance best practices.

Collaborate closely with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements and KPIs into technical solutions.

Participate in technical design discussions and decision-making , contributing to architecture and tooling choices.

Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation covering data processes, frameworks, best practices, and operational support.

Conduct and participate in code reviews , providing constructive feedback and ensuring high code quality standards.

Clearly communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Required Skills

5+ years of experience in software development with strong proficiency in Python .

Advanced expertise in SQL and experience working with relational and NoSQL databases .

Strong understanding of data modeling concepts , schema design, and performance optimization techniques.

Hands-on experience with data pipeline and big data frameworks , such as Apache Spark, Apache Airflow, and Apache Kafka .

Experience designing and maintaining batch and real-time data ingestion frameworks .

Familiarity with cloud platforms , preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its data services.

Solid knowledge of ETL / ELT architectures , data orchestration, and workflow optimization.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills .

Excellent verbal and written communication skills .

Others

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems , or a related field.

Experience working in cross-functional teams with a strong business-focused mindset.

Ability to understand business objectives and align data solutions with strategic KPIs .

Strong attention to security, privacy, and data governance standards .

Self-driven, collaborative, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
