Duties :
Works to prevent assess diagnose and treat speech language social communication cognitive communication and swallowing disorders in children and adultsReview files and physician notes to work prior authorizations on services requestedReviews submitted information on techniques and exercises to diminish and improve linguistic challengesReviews submitted information on counseling and consultations for new patientsReviews submitted information on engaging exercises and activities to use during speech sessions with patientsEvaluates patient and recommends treatmentReviews individualized treatment plan that addresses specific functional needsReviews goals and objectives for patients to work toward and identify areas of progress and challengesAttends continuing education courses and works to advance personal knowledge and experience within the fieldProvides training to Residents Students and other staffResponsible for keeping accurate records and documenting billing informationReviews initial evaluations and diagnoses tracks treatment progress and notes any changes in an individuals condition or treatment planCollaborates with Physicians Surgeons Social Workers Psychologists Occupational Therapists Physical Therapists and other healthcare workersReview files and physician notes to work prior authorizations on services requested.Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the functions of the positionRequired Attachments

Required education : Masters Degree in Speech / Language Pathology.
