Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : Nursing Specialty : Telemetry Duration : 15 weeks Shift : Night Hours per Shift : 36 hours per week Experience : Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry experience required License : NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license Certifications : BLS - AHA, NIHSS, Tele Certification (CEU Contact Stroke 4 Hours) Must-Have : ASN from an accredited school of nursing Description : The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient needs. Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Develops, implements, and coordinates an individualized plan of care for assigned patients through initial and ongoing assessments. Initiates assessment based on patient problems or needs, physician's medical diagnosis, and functional health framework. Performs therapeutic nursing interventions. Manages care of patients. Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and / or clinical priorities. Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports the adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery. Provides patient-centric care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned. Must be willing to float to a similar inpatient telemetry unit as needed. ACLS / Telemetry certification is required. Every other weekend shift is expected. One winter holiday or winter event may be required. Navy blue scrubs are the designated attire.
