General Custodian - 6 hrs / day

Qualifications : Experience in custodial work or willingness to learn Ability to do physical labor

Reports To : Building Principal / Area Supervisor

Job Goal : To provide students with a safe, attractive, comfortable, clean and efficient place in which to learn, play, and develop.

Performance Responsibilities

• Scrub, mop, wax, and polish floors as needed.
• Vacuum and clean carpet.
• Dust and polish furniture, wash windows, woodwork, venetian blinds, and bathrooms.
• Responsible for removal of trash from assigned areas.
• Clean up grounds and perform the routine tasks required in the care of the grounds.
• Move office and school furniture as needed.
• Perform work at varying heights on a ladder.
• Perform some heavy lifting.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Terms Of Employment : Salary Range : Range 1 - Support Staff Hourly Salary Schedule ($11.44 / hr. - $20.06 / hr. depending on relevant experience) Length of Contract : 182 contract days, 6 hours per day FLSA Status : Non-exempt Personnel Status : Classified Benefits Eligible : Yes

Evaluation : Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Staff Personnel.
