RMA REPAIR TECHNICIAN

Industry : hydraulics manufacturing / aerospace

Overview

We're seeking a skilled RMA Repair Technician with a strong background in hydraulic systems to perform hands-on repair, troubleshooting, and testing of customer-returned components (RMA's). This role requires precision, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to interpret detailed technical documents such as Assembly & Test Procedures (ATP's) and Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM's).

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience repairing and testing hydraulic components like valves, pumps, and actuators
  • Proficient in reading blueprints, ATP's, and CMM's.
  • Strong understanding of hydraulic flow, pressure, and sealing principles.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office and basic ERP systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect, disassemble, clean, repair, reassemble, and test hydraulic valves and assemblies per ATP / CMM standards.
  • Set up and operate hydraulic test benches; analyze pressure, flow, and leak test data.
  • Diagnose system failures, perform rework, and document corrective actions.
  • Log repair data, test results, and findings accurately in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Apply sealants, torque, and safety wiring per engineering drawings.
  • Maintain equipment, work area, and adhere to safety and FOD protocols.
  • Partner with Quality and Engineering to resolve hydraulic performance issues.
  • Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.

    • Work Environment

  • Frequent standing, handling components, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Exposure to hydraulic fluids, mechanical parts, and moderate noise.
