Lonza‘s Integrated Biologics R&D Strategic Innovation Accelerator (SIA) team is seeking a Lab Automation Engineer to design, develop, and implement high-throughput (HTP) automated workflows to accelerate R&D innovation. This role will focus on developing HTP experiment workflows by integrating liquid handling robotics with cell culturing instruments to enhance bioprocessing R&D efficiency. This position offers strong growth potential, with opportunities to take on increasing responsibility for system design and strategic automation initiatives over time.

This role is based in Bend, OR and is an onsite position. You will help accelerate R&D innovation by designing and implementing high-throughput automated workflows.

This role requires creativity, agility, and a passion for learning—working with diverse scientific teams to develop custom automation solutions that drive innovation.
