Shipping Clerk

A Shipping Clerk is responsible for ensuring that packages are shipped correctly, timely, and in compliance with company standards and processes. Duties include accurate recordkeeping of every product order, packing products into shipping containers, printing shipping labels, and delivering packages to shipping carriers.

Responsibilities :

• Pick, pack, label, and ship customer orders, ensuring proper packaging and labeling according to product type and shipping process.
• Obtain product orders and process them through the ERP QAD system, transferring them to appropriate departments.
• Audit shipments prior to packing to ensure the product being shipped matches the purchase order.
• Accurately enter information for required shipping documentation.
• Follow department SOPs and work instructions, adhering to customer and company standards.
• Restock inventory using a Kanban system, preparing products for the next steps categorized by 'Requested', 'In Progress', and 'Done'.
• Input orders into the shipping software for national and international carriers including FedEx, UPS, DHL, USPS, and freight shipments.
• Access and pull product orders from the ERP QAD system.
• Assist in maintaining material inventory standards.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area.
• Cross-train in other areas to learn supply chain processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment :

The role is based in a manufacturing environment with typical hours from Monday to Friday, 8 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PM. The position is open due to workload challenges faced by the previous employee.

This is a Contract position based out of San Diego, CA.

Pay and Benefits :

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
