Attorney

Marcus Family Law Center, PLC is seeking a motivated attorney to join our growing team. Applicants should have a particular interest in complex child custody matters, including cases involving inter-state or inter-national jurisdiction, inter-county venue, move-away, appellate issues, domestic violence, sexual abuse, alienation, special needs, and challenging inter-parent dynamics. Strong math skills for asset division and support computation are very helpful. Applicants may also be interested in family-law-adjacent matters such as Probate, Immigration, Bankruptcy, and Criminal (e.g. contempt prosecution and domestic violence defense). Candidates should display a strong interest in courtroom work, legal research, and making a difference in the field. The ideal candidate must be comfortable handling a case load; researching applicable law; drafting and arguing requests for orders; making court appearances, including long cause trials; and displaying fluency with discovery issues, including complex discovery. This position requires excellent time management, attention to detail, strong work ethic and dependability. Salary and benefits are competitive and include bonuses, and incentives. Applicant must be a member in good standing with the California State Bar.
