Job Title : Respiratory Therapist – Direct Hire

Facility : OSF Saint Francis Medical Center

Location : 530 NE Glen Oak Avenue, Peoria, IL, 61637

Employment Type : Full-Time, Direct Hire

Shifts : Varied

💰 Compensation & Incentives

  • Salary Range : $31.49 – $37.05 / hour (Based on experience)
  • Sign-On Bonus :

    • Up to $15,000 for a 2-year commitment

  • Up to $20,000 for a 3-year commitment
  • Relocation Assistance : Discussed during the interview on a case-by-case basis

    • 🛠️ Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver respiratory care per provider orders across various hospital units (general, ICU, ED)
  • Manage and initiate mechanical ventilation (including advanced modes)
  • Respond to rapid response and code blue situations, acting as primary airway manager
  • Administer specialty medical gases (Heliox, Nitric Oxide, etc.)
  • Assess patient response and recommend changes to therapy
  • Accurately document interventions and outcomes in EMR per TJC and Medicare guidelines
  • Participate in interdisciplinary rounding in ICUs and intermediate care units

    • ✅ Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • Active Respiratory Care Practitioner License in Illinois (or eligible)
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification
  • EMR documentation skills
  • Must pass all pre-employment screenings, including a full-panel drug test
