Title Clerk

As a Title Clerk at Potamkin Hyundai, you will be responsible for managing the paperwork and documentation related to vehicle titles and registrations. You will ensure that all title transactions are processed accurately and efficiently, in compliance with state and federal regulations. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with customers, government agencies, and dealership personnel.

Responsibilities :

1. Process vehicle title applications, transfers, and registrations for new and used vehicle sales, ensuring accuracy and completeness of documentation.

2. Verify the accuracy of vehicle information and ownership documents, including titles, bills of sale, and lien release forms, to facilitate title transfers.

3. Coordinate with lending institutions, customers, and other parties to resolve any title-related issues or discrepancies, including outstanding liens or missing paperwork.

4. Prepare title paperwork for submission to state motor vehicle departments, ensuring compliance with state regulations and deadlines.

5. Maintain accurate records of title transactions, including tracking titles in transit, processing title receipts, and updating title status in dealership systems.

6. Assist customers with title-related inquiries, providing guidance and information on title transfer processes, fees, and documentation requirements.

7. Coordinate with finance and insurance personnel to ensure timely completion of title paperwork for financed vehicle sales.

8. Research and resolve title issues and discrepancies, including missing titles, duplicate titles, and title transfers between states.

9. Stay informed about changes in state title regulations, forms, and procedures, ensuring dealership compliance with all legal requirements.

10. Provide support to dealership management and other departments as needed, including assisting with inventory audits and reconciling title records.
