About the Role:

Reporting to the Fixed Assets Manager of Corporate Accounting the Sr. Accountant - Fixed Assets will be an individual contributor supporting the entire department on special projects, monthly close initiatives, and ad hoc requests that support teamwide and departmental initiatives that support Finance.

Responsibilities Include:

• Review and process fixed asset disposals in SAP, ensuring proper accounting treatment in accordance with US GAAP and company capitalization policies.
• Collaborate with Real Estate, Construction, and Accounts Payable teams to validate supporting documentation (, invoices, POs, CERs) for asset disposals and retirements.
• Prepare monthly fixed asset journal entries, including reclasses, accruals, transfers, and depreciation adjustments, ensuring proper audit support.
• Analyze and prepare entries related to capitalized interest, accelerated depreciation, and asset transfers for store closures and real estate projects.
• Perform regular reconciliations between the SAP fixed asset subledger and the general ledger to maintain integrity of asset balances.
• Support month-end close activities, including rollforwards, reconciliations, and flux/variance analysis.
• Partner with the Internal Audit team to ensure disposals and supporting documentation comply with internal controls and SOX requirements.
• Assist with fixed asset additions by validating supporting documentation (, invoices, POs, CERs) and preparing SAP entries to ensure accurate capitalization of assets in accordance with company policy and US GAAP.
• Provide documentation and audit support for quarterly and year-end reviews, including detailed schedules for asset disposals and related entries.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline asset disposal workflows, documentation, and controls.
• Serve as a subject matter resource for the SAP Fixed Asset module related to disposals, retirements, and impairment entries.
• Provide backup support for other Fixed Asset team functions, including depreciation runs and reconciliations, as needed.

About the Pay:

• Base Salary Range: $95,000 - $105,000 Annually

About You:

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• 3 years of experience, preference to combination of both private industry and public accounting.
• Strong knowledge of current US GAAP.
• Detail-oriented and problem-solving skills, Ability to pivot on topics and projects quickly and effectively.
• Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and business partnering skills with demonstrated ability to work cross functionally and at various levels within a company.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines and operate with a sense of urgency.
• Fast learner who is willing to learn and can quickly understand new concepts.
• Excellent computer skills with MS Office Software including Excel and Word.
• Experience with SAP S4 Hana and Fiori is a plus.
