Emergency Medical Technician - Allergy Technician

Pay From : $21 per hour

MUST :

The Medical Assistant, Allergy Technician or Emergency Medical Technician must have experience :

Bachelor's degree preferred

Medical office experience required

CPR / First Aid Certification preferred

Strong computer skills-including, Electronic Medical Records experience

Strong attention to detail

Knowledge of aseptic technique and HIPAA compliance

Strong knowledge of medical terminology and documentation protocols preferred

Excellent customer service skills.

Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently

Experience administering injections

DUTIES :

Perform administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of a physician

Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, accurate data entry, billing, and coding information for insurance purposes

Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, performing allergy tests, and administering medications as directed by physician

Candidate will be trained to mix allergy serums

Discuss allergy test results, the long term benefits of immunotherapy, and the health impact allergies and asthma can have if left untreated with patients

Manage clinic's allergy program by administering allergy shots, and tracking testing and treatment numbers among other services
