Wright Technical Services is seeking an Applications Engineer to support a client who is a leader in the automated CNC space. This role involves executing turnkey projects, from single machines to multi-million-dollar systems, with a strong focus on hands-on implementation processes using CNC Machining Centers. Travel to customer sites can be up to 75% during a project.
Responsibilities :
- Prepare CNC equipment and layout machine cell area for efficient implementation.
- Confirm machine setup, charge machines with coolant, and verify grid shifts.
- Setup, assemble, and inventory cutting tools.
- Dial-in machining processes, interpret inspection results, and perform runoff.
- Inspect parts using manual gages and evaluate data, conducting Gage R&R studies.
- Provide technical updates and weekly Engineering Service Reports to track project progress.
- Validate tasks at customer facilities including setups, machining process, and training.
- Capture full backups of machine settings and compile final documentation for customers.
