POSITION SUMMARY

The purpose of this position is to initiate and develop practical, cost effective and fully functional civil designs and design drawings for any type of project that involves civil engineering through completion for the assigned project. Specifically, civil engineering as it pertains to grading, drainage, underground utilities, roadway design and erosion and sediment control features. The scope of this position requires an individual to perform a Civil Designer role on any project with respect to the development of civil designs and the generation of civil design drawings and the coordination of these designs with the other disciplines.

Work is closely managed and reviewed for accuracy and adequacy. Follows specific, outlined, and detailed directions.

Provides resolution to problems that are readily identifiable with limited scope and are resolved in accordance with standard practices, procedures, applications, or routines.

Problem / Task resolution timeframe : The majority of tasks typically take one to two days to resolve.

Contacts are primarily with direct supervisor and others in group or department to give and receive information.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Designer Intern - Education = Enrolled in Tech / Trade School

Designer IV - Education = Tech / Trade School or equivalent

Designer III - Education = Tech / Trade School or equivalent; Experience = 2 years

Designer II - Education = Tech / Trade School or equivalent; Experience = 4 years

Designer I - Education = Tech / Trade School or equivalent; Experience = 6 years
