The facility is Joint Commission Accredited. It has 171 beds. It serves as a community hospital and regional referral center. It is a Certified Chest Pain Center. The facility is a Level 3 Trauma Center. It is located in a region known for outdoor recreation. The scenery includes beautiful mountain ranges and serene lake views. The area is in proximity to major cities. Las Vegas is a 2.5-hour drive away. Phoenix is a 3.25-hour drive away. Grand Canyon National Park is a 3.5-hour drive away. Los Angeles or San Diego, CA, is a 5-hour drive away. Unit Information : The unit has 40 beds. Patient care ratios are 1 : 6. Equipment includes IV pumps, bed / chair alarms, and drug dispensing cabinets. The Electronic Health Record system used is Medhost. The patient population includes adult and geriatric patients. The unit primarily cares for total joint and surgical patients. It also serves patients with acute on chronic medical conditions. Conditions treated include CHF, CKD, alcohol withdrawal, SIRS, and GIB. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, positive, and demonstrate a can-do attitude. The required education is an Associate Degree in Nursing. The dress code requires a black scrub color for both top and bottom. Open shoes are not considered acceptable attire. Floating to other units is an expectation within this role. Preceptor and charge experience are preferred.
